    Really like the theme. I can’t see any difference between magazine layout and regular though. Is there anything specific to do other than change it in the options?

  2. Sean Staples says:

    Okay, I figured it out. I was hoping it was something different, where the magazine layout showed the past articles side by side on the front page. I see the difference now, and it’s working fine. Thanks.

    Really like your theme…
    How to add image in post content like your thumbnail??

    • G' Blog says:

      Image can be added to the post via your media library or when you add a new image to your post. the first image would be given priority when showing. You do not need to allot any image specifically. Hope it helps ….

      Check your site permissions especially for wp-content folder

  5. Felton says:

    Hi G, it’s me Felton. What should the permission be set too for wp-content?
    Thanks again.

      Felton

      As you cannot see any image even the theme images you on your site, you will need to change wp-content and its sub-folders need 755 permissions on some host even 777.

    Hi! I’ve test Regal theme: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/regal
    in a local webserver and i’ve found only two problem.
    1) (Not really important) isn’t present a lang.po file and i can’t translate in Italian;
    2) This theme don’t support nested quotes (and i don’t have experience to fix).
    Can u provide to upgrade?
    Thanks in advance, DarkWolf :)

      Will look into the problems.

      Update : The theme does support nested blockqoutes. In the next upcoming version it will support <q>. Also a language file will be added so that the theme can be translated easily to other languages.

    Hi G, felton here. I changed the permissions to 755 and then to 777, but my images still will not show. Do you have any other ideas as to what could be wrong? I really like the Regal Theme!
    Thank you for your trouble.
    Felton

  8. G' Blog says:

    None of your images on your website seems to be appearing. There is definitely a permission error.

  9. Hi, I would like to know what CSS entry I need to increase the font size in the main posting area.

    Not much just a little bigger and easier to read.

    Great job on the Theme, I am really impressed.

    Thank You!

      Simply change the font value in body{ ….. } found in the css file.

  10. I changed it to:
    font: 14px “Arial”, Helvetica Neue, Verdana, sans-serif;
    Is this correct?

    The font is easier to read but will this effect on how it will look in other sized browser screens.

    Thank You!

  12. Dear G’Blog,

    I would like to thank you for responding to both of my comments about the Regal WordPress Theme.

    I was trying to spiff up a dark theme that I had purchased for my network marketing blog called Splendour.

    To make my story short after I had purchased the Headway Theme and this is after many hours I trying to decide between getting the Headway theme or the Thesis theme.

    Again… I found myself stuck as I do not have time to do all of the customization needed to get what I wanted to achieve. Out of pure frustration I found your Regal theme while I was surfing new themes in my WordPress panel. And it’s exactly what I needed.

    It’s a very nice simplistic theme; I do have a couple of suggestions if you’re open to theme, Pleas just let me know!

    Mr. G’Blog, I think you’re very good at what you do and I believe there may be a market for someone who will develop Headway skins or css style sheets for the Thesis theme.

    Just some spidery food for thought!

    Thanks again!

    Hi, I’m trying to add a background to the Regal theme. Is this not possible. I’ve added the graphic to the theme images folder and uploaded. Added the following code to CSS stylesheet but I still can’t see the background: background-color: #ffffff url(‘images/backgrd_blog.jpg’);

    Thanks

    Thank you for the great theme. I love its simplicity and minimalism. One quick question, how do you remove the categories list in the blue menu bar? I tried removing this code: and nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

  21. Ariane says:

    Hi,

    A very neat theme, I am testing it out for my new site.
    One issue is how to control the widgets in the sidebar. I turned on the ads php, but when I go to WP admin panel and move any widget into the sidebar, the ads and all pre-arranged widgets are gone. What is the way to add or rearrange widgets in the sidebar in your template, while also keeping the ads?

    Thanks in advance, great work,
    Ariane

  22. san says:

    Hi
    When I try to click on my image to enlarge it I get an error message like this
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘;’ in /hsphere/local/home/doremon3/sanweng.com/wp-content/themes/regal/image.php on line 17
    what does it mean and how do I fix it?

  23. Paul says:

    Hi,

    I love theme, it’s just what I’ve been looking for, however I don’t seem to be able to get my banners to display.

    I’m not too sure about the format of the image url and the site url.

    Regards

    Paul

  25. Wordman says:

    I love your theme!!

    I’m having a problem with the Tag Cloud on my sidebar. I removed it from the widgets, however, it keeps showing up on my sidebar. Even when I include teh tag cloud widget, the TAG CLOUD still shows up again.

    Thanks for your help!

    • G' Blog says:

      What version of the theme are you using?

      If you want you can remove the following code from your sidebar.php file

      <?php if (!is_single()) : ?>
      <li><div id="tag_cloud" class="widget">
      <h2><?php _e(‘Tag Cloud’, ‘Regal’);?></h2>
      <?php wp_tag_cloud(‘smallest=8&largest=16′); ?>
      </div></li>
      <?php endif; ?>
